Cross-infection in dentistry is the spread of disease causes among patients, dentists, and health workers in dental health services. In carrying out its profession dental health workers can not be separated from the possibility to contact directly or indirectly with microorganisms in the oral cavity (including saliva and blood) patients. As a result of repeated exposure to microorganisms present in the oral cavity, the incidence of infectious diseases is higher in dental practice. In the absence of effective infection control, other people, including the family of dental health care workers and other patients, may be at risk of infection. This study aims to find out the description of the Management of Cross-infection Control in Dental Poly Puskemas X.
The research method used is descriptive, the data collected is primary data. The way of collecting data by means of observation and interview are presented in the form of frequency distribution table with three sample, there is dentist, dental nurse, and cleaning service.
The results obtained by cross-infection control in dental hygiene of Puskesmas X are categorized as less, and there is still need improvement in the use of personal protective equipment, dental handling, and waste handling.
